Ferenc Horvath

CEO/Head Coach

I began playing table tennis at the age of 11 in my hometown of Debrecen, Hungary. I quickly developed a passion for the sport and set my sights on becoming one of the top players in the country. As a cadet and junior player, I reached a peak national ranking in the top 10, while my highest senior ranking was 24th. Throughout my playing career, I competed in leagues in Hungary, Spain, Sweden, and Norway. My most notable achievements include winning the Norwegian team championship twice and securing the Over 40 UK Veterans National Champion title in 2024.

In my early twenties, my interest in coaching began to grow and eventually became my main focus. I started with individual coaching sessions and later joined the coaching staff of the Hungarian National Team for the Disabled. This position greatly influenced my coaching career, which spanned nearly two decades. I had the opportunity to learn from prestigious clubs like BVSC and world-class coaches such as Péter Aranyosi, Ferenc Karsai, and Attila Halmai, which helped elevate my coaching skills to an international level.

I owe much to my experiences with Spanish and Scandinavian clubs (Burgos TM, Volda/Ørsta BTK, Eskilstuna BTK, and Trondheim BTK), where I continued to learn and develop as a coach. These experiences provided me with invaluable knowledge and skills that will stay with me throughout my life.
